So if you would like to feel better, have more energy, sleep more deeply, breathe more freely, think more clearly, and feel more vibrant then three-day juice diets are a great option.
Giving the body a rest from solid food and nurturing it briefly with easily digested, nutrient-packed juices can improve health by healing the body and renewing the body, mind, and spirit.
Pre juice diet
Managing hunger, during your cleanse, you will have juice roughly every two hours throughout the day, so you are continually nourishing your body without letting yourself get hungry. If you get desperately hungry, you can drink as much water and herbal tea as you like.
Working out, everyone is different. If you are feeling tired, which can happen because of the effect of cleansing, then you should respect that and take it easy.
On the other hand, some people feel a great deal of energy and are comfortable working out. An excellent workout suggestion would be a brisk walk, a yoga class, or a swim. Listen to your body.
Expect more trips to the bathroom, cleanses are designed to alkalize and give your digestive system a break. If you are moderately healthy, you will have a normal to a bit above regular bowel movements.
You also may make a few more trips to relieve your bladder if your body is not used to consuming large volumes of liquids, but this is just your body’s natural process of eliminating toxins.
Benefits of 3-day juice diet :
The first benefit of a juice diet is that it helps one get rid of the toxins in the body. By getting rid of these toxins, your immune system receives a boost, and your energy levels rise since a fruit juice contains minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and enzymes.
It is also easier to digest liquids rather than solids, enabling the energy in the body to focus on getting rid of body toxins and waste.
The difference between juice diets and smoothie diets:
Green smoothies and whole blended juices retain the nutrients in skins, pits, and seeds, along with fibre, which slows down the build-up of sugars and pushes food through the digestive system, binding and bulking toxins to assist the body in expelling them.
Fresh juices, either with their pulp or strained, provide a more concentrated, nutrient-dense food, and facilitate a less vigorous digestive process, reserving energy for detoxification and regeneration.
That’s especially helpful in periods of illness or during a cleanse and also especially when fasting; it's advisable to drink fresh juices that have been strained to remove as much of the pulp as possible.
You should only do a juice diet if you are in good health. you may, however, drink lime juice, fruit smoothies or eat bananas through the day to relieve you of hunger pangs.
The strategy of the 3-day juice diet :
1. The most effective method to prepare for the juice diet: you're better advised not to go headlong into this detox program as you need to know how your body reacts to it or if it has any side-effects.
To prevent food cravings, headaches or any other manifestations of withdrawal symptoms, make sure you stay away from sugar, meat, coffee, alcohol, wheat and dairy products during this three-day plan. While you knock these out of your diet, increase your intake of veggies.
2. Beginning the 3-day juice diet :
Amid the actual fasting days, you should drink a maximum of three litres of juice, with half of the juice being extracted from veggies. Since veggies are abundant in chlorophyll, they aid cleansing and healing the digestive organs.
On each of the three fasting days, the following should be your diet:
Wake up to a cup of lukewarm water and lemon.
For breakfast, drink a glass of almond milk or green vegetable juice. You can also drink some carrot juice if you wish. Make sure to drink a glass of lukewarm water between two glasses of juice to stimulate your bowel movements.
For lunch, drink pineapple juice as it is a powerhouse of vitamins b1 and c. of course, if you don't like pineapple, you can switch it with any other fruit that you like. You may also want to have a mixed fruit and vegetable juice, such as apple, celery, beetroot and spinach.
For dinner, go with celery, tomato, and lettuce. Celery builds blood cells and is rich in iron, magnesium, and chlorophyll.
3. What to do with your juice diet:
A juice diet doesn't involve just drinking juices to cleanse your digestive organs. You need to complement it with the following:
Do mild activities like walking, massage and yoga to increase circulation of the lymph and blood.
2. Animate your bowel movements:
Amid a cleanse, the toxins lodged in the body are stimulated to leave the body, or they might be absorbed back into the system. You could opt for an enema when you get on to this program, or you could take laxatives or drink a lot of water.
3. Rest and relax:
When you're on this diet, remember to de-stress and relax as stress can affect detoxification. Reflect, do breathing exercises or listen to music and sleep early.
